The Workforce Scan API
The numbers behind every page, as JSON: occupations and their tasks, roster scans, the Workforce AI Index and the Work Bench. Keys come with Pro. Use is under the API license. The job, industry and area numbers are also free to download as open data on the data page.
Your key
Keys come with Pro. Open this page in the browser where you unlocked Pro, or unlock it from the scan first.
Calling it
- Every request sends the key as a header:
Authorization: Bearer <key>. Call from your own servers; do not put a key in a web page. - The base address is
https://workforce.stratussc.com/api/v1. Answers are JSON. The version is in the address, and fields are only added within a version. - Up to 60 requests a minute for each key. Past that, the answer is 429 with Retry-After.
- Errors carry a sentence saying what to change: 400 for a bad parameter, 401 for a missing or expired key, 429 for too many requests.
- Every answer says when its data was checked. Almost every number is an estimate; the method is on the method page.
